ABOUT ME 💖

"I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS" // THE UNINTENTIONAL SUMMER BREAK

"I DON'T HAVE TIME FOR THIS" // THE UNINTENTIONAL SUMMER BREAK

Since June, every time I took to the blog, my mind came up blank. You might call it writer's block, but I'm going to admit, I had shifting priorities and my attention was drawn elsewhere.

This is the challenge of running your own empire. You're the only one who determines your deadlines, who does the work and makes the shit happen. Things can run off track when you're working through some deep issues, but also when your dance card fills up with enticing connections.

Striving for balance can mean trying things out, seeing what works, and giving up what doesn't. That said, it's never been my intention to give up this space, and I won't for the foreseeable future. I just haven't been full of words. No matter, I've heard it calling me back, in the midst of planning classes, scheduling meetings and doing my own yoga practice.

WHAT I DID THIS SUMMER

I'll say that at this phase in my life, my schedule has been full of new and growing opportunities. Some have been in the marketing and design world, helping others build their businesses in smart and practical ways. I've been able to use photography, design and social media to help people grow their audiences.

I've also gone out and grown my yoga teaching schedule. You can now find me at Body Wisdom, Crunch Fitness and The Yoga Loft in addition to Goat Yoga at Harrison Farm

Oh yeah, and vacations. My husband and I spent over a week on the beach in St. Pete, FL, and we spent a long weekend in Portland, ME, for a wedding. We're headed this week to a final summer adventure in Canada, and I'm super excited.

WHAT NOW?

Can you make middle year resolutions? I think so.

In the last quarter of 2017, I'll come up on the one-year mark of my big jump from full-time to independent work. This year hasn't always been an easy choice, and I've doubted myself plenty over the past eight months. Here I am, recommitting myself to this spot.

I'm excited as I look toward finishing out the rest of this year, and making it count. Stay tuned.
